Master Chef​: In the beggining of the quarantine, our CAS teacher, Miss Lina Maria Mora posted on the School's CAS official Website some instagram weekly challenges for the students to develop and upload to instagram, tagging the School's instagram CAS account and the Hashtag #cascny, with my classmate David Esteban Uribe we've created an Instagram account named @brothers_cas in which, both of us uploaded some pictures with some of the challenges.

Preparation: I went to the supermarket to but all of the ingredients needed to cook the meal to my family (potatoes, onion, corn, etc). Also, I decided to make ajiaco because this is my mom's favourite meal, and i wanted them to eat something they like. 

 

Reflection: Some challenges like "Master Chef" helped me to understand the very hard duty parents have all days, cooking to their children and spending most of the time in the kitchen, and in the pandemic sometimes sacrificing work hours or times to share with the other members of the family, by doing this I could help my parents by doing the lunch, I had some issues by chopping the vegetables but at the end my family really enjoyed my lunch and could have some rest and maybe work more time.

-Water saving and top recycling: In my family, we have always cared about reciclying and caring about the planet and our resources, not only because the economical aspect wasting more carries, but also because thisd is our planet and if we don't care about it, who will do it for us?

​

Preparation: I had to took into account the size of the bucket with the water was going to be collected, also I needed to plan the uses of this collected water and distribute it in an efficient and proper way. Also I had to search for a case or box to store all the tops we collect from plastic bottles or similar, this in order to collect the tops and giving it to a fundation. 

​

Reflection: It is very important to recycle, and not only plastic wastes, but also things like water an bottle tops, this little actions can help you, your families, other people and the planet.

Learning results: 4, 6.

-Teaching guitar: As mentioned some times before, I Like a lot music, interpretation and composition. But something i've never faced was teaching someone to play guitar, and when a friend told me about his purpose to learn how to play guitar, I took the challenge and helped him to know how to play and improve. ​

​

Preparation: At first, I had to ask my partner about schedules and disponibility, this in order to plan meetings in order for him to learn guitar from me. Also i needed to know his level of understanding about music and guitar. And I asked for spaces in the music classroom for getting another guitar to my mate. 

​

Reflection: I feel very proud with the results of this experience, because my friend now like a lot music, like me, and also plays the guitar very well, we have ensembled some songs together and it feels amazing, helping others reaching their goals is a very nice feeling.
